The Library

Description

Most of the Interior guides are being completely redone to reflect the various changes and additions to each building throughout the seasons. Each reference image is physically sorted by location, as evidenced by the blue boundary lines. In addition, the use of the map should make it possible to find a one to one correlation to each feature (windows, furniture, cabinets, etc.) shown in each reference image.

While the Carousel Boutique is a paragon of non-euclidean design, the Library is both non-euclidean AND a mass of contradictions. :D I've done my best to properly explain each of these major issues within the deviation, so I don't need to cover them down here again. However, I will state that I did my best to choose the option that made the most sense when making the minimaps, taking into consideration both the outside and the inside of the structure. I can't confirm 100%-edly that it's the right choice due to the continuously changing nature of the building, but it's probably the most logical choice. Up to y'all if you decide to use my selections or an amalgamation of some of the other choices because, at some point or another, they're all right!

Want another interesting one? The top left window as seen from the outside changes in the Lesson Zero episode when Twilight is looking through it (S2E03 at 4:00). Also, the oddly cut window to the right of the door becomes a proper shape whenever anything is happening in it, as can be seen, for example, when Spike burps as he is receiving the last letter in Ticket Master.

This building was giving me a headache (and still is, even with you map) merely because I keep wondering which outdoor window connects to which interior one. And don't get me started on the front door, I've seen it open in every possible direction, and even the whole front porch has visibly moved at the start of Hurricane Fluttershy (apparently they wanted to draw the library more sideways so the pegasi would enter from the right, but rather than rotating it, they merely moved the front door a bit to the right).
