Map of Ponyville - Labeled - v3.2 by Aurek-Skyclimber Map of Ponyville - Labeled - v3.2 by Aurek-Skyclimber
Version 3.2 - Created using only what can be found in-show (up to the end of Season 3) and the official Map of Equestria:…

Links to other maps!
Labeled - You're here -…
Plain -…
Photo Guide!!! GO HERE ASAP! -…

1. Anything that is in the green grassy zones surrounding Ponyville proper (i.e. not within a stone's throw of other located houses so I can gauge probable distances) is a rough placement. Examples of rough placement include the entirety of Sweet Apple Acres, Fluttershy's, etc. It's probably in that general direction and placement compared to the other items on the map, but it could be within a very large range of distances from the other objects.

2. The largest change to the map this time around is actually in the outskirts of Ponyville. In the interest of scale, Canterlot, Cloudsdale, etc. have been removed, leaving just Ponyville and its immediate surroundings. On the other hoof, Sweet Apple Acres, the Everfree, and a handful of other items have been thoroughly adjusted to match the official Equestria map and various other features that have come to light (My apologies to Ms. Faust).

3. The (few remaining) dark tan lines in the middle of town are possible building locations. There are still locations that we haven't seen yet (or I missed), so these lines are my best guesses as to where buildings will go once we do see that segment of road.

And YES you can use this map for whatever you like. I don't own MLP:FiM or anything in it, so that handles the legal side of things. And I want people to use the map for whatever purposes they can think of (the crazier the better) so that handles the personal side of things. Anywho, here's to hoping this helps everypony with their projects. I'm looking forward to seeing what turns up. :D

This is very nicely done. Great job! By the way, where do you think twilight's new castle would be?

where would zecora's be located at?

Somewhere deep-ish in the Everfree.  That's all I know unfortunately.

Great work! It s completely awesome sample of research :-)
Some questions to fill in the gaps:
1. Enter to Everfree Forest (e.g. where parasprite sphere had been rolled) - it is not on Flattershy backyards
2. Zecora house
3. Zaplles trees

Unfortunately, these are all question that I don't know the correct answer to myself...
1. Somewhere along the border of the Everfree.  It's probably on the North side, but even that's not a guaranteed location.
2. Somewhere deep-ish in the Everfree.
3. Probably just north of the main barn?  Then again, this seems to be the generic Sweet Apple Acres not-near-the-barn event location...

Are you sure that the library is on the edge? I'm curious to know why you think it's that far out. Various shots of the library lead me to believe that it's a little further in.

Yes, and no.  What you're seeing on my map is only a portion of Ponyville.  There are plenty more streets and subsections of town to the west and north of what is outlined here, but either I have no idea how to connect them to the town (Example: the bowling alley - as far as I know, all of the buildings surrounding it have never been seen again), or we haven't seen them yet (new streets and buildings are added every season).  Either way, I don't add buildings unless I know where they are.  From what I can tell, there are plenty of buildings on the other side of the train tracks - either visible from westward streets and plazas, behind the library, or from places that I know are somewhere near/on the western border of town.  However, there hasn't been enough information to really mark in specifics as of version 3.2 and maybe not even enough by the end of Season 4 (although I do have some new ones that haven't been added yet).

However, I do know where things are within the areas I have mapped out.  There is 100% certainty that the Library and Sugarcube Corner are in that exact relative position and general distance to each other.  There has been a consistent path of buildings leading between the two landmarks since season 1.  There is also 90-something percent certainty that Sugarcube Corner is where it needs to be in relative distance to the Town Hall plaza.  Town Hall has to be behind Sugarcube Corner, and Sugarcube Corner has to be about that distance from Town Hall to fit in all the other buildings that I've been sliding into place over time / to view a certain number of buildings as seen from the upper floor cupcake porch.  Put those two together, and you have the library location compared to Town Hall.

The only thing I haven't been certain on since the beginning is the exact rotation of all these streets compared to the round epicenter that is Town Hall.  I could literally grab a huge chunk of town and rotate it around Town Hall plaza with minimal effect to the structural integrity of things (we've seen plenty of street shots as viewed from the west side of town, a decent amount of info about buildings directly adjacent to Town Hall, but practically no street data as viewed from Town Hall plaza - in other words, no direct connections between the two segments).  In fact, there is a very strong chance that I may just have to do that...  As of season 4, Sugarcube Corner needs to be aligned with a batch of buildings visible from Town Hall (we finally got a good view / match during Pinkie Pride), and there has been enough evidence that the Library should be directly west of Town Hall (or thereabout).  Once I get to finishing the ref pics from Season 4 (PhD business level has been going through the roof of late...), I'll have a better idea of what's going on and adjust the map to reflect the latest data.

To summarize, I'm certain of how far the Library is from Town Hall, I'm pretty certain of the orientation of the Library compared to Town Hall (due West, or about 30 degrees counterclockwise from where it is now), and while it looks to be on the edge of town, this is due to missing buildings that I cannot add at this time due to lack of information.  If I had to guess, I'd say it's about 75% of the way to the edge of the core cluster of town, with more scattered stuff even further out (like the hill of doom and the dam).

P.S. Take a look at the official Hasbro map of Equestria:… You'll notice that the train tracks divide Ponyville about 25% / 75% west / east.  We know that the Library is a little to the east of the tracks with a decent sized field/park between the two, so that should provide additional correlation on where the Library is at with regards to the Town Hall.

Ok, so the placement of everything is fairly accurate? Good. I'm using your map as a basis for the exact direction the timberwolves would come from in my crossover fanfic that includes Light and Dark Jak from the Jak and Daxter series.

Right now, I'm at the episode Luna Eclipsed. Light, who at a certain point in the story was renamed Isamu, decided to reveal himself to Ponyville by crashing the costume contest that I added in. Essentially, the second the last contestant is judged, he comes out from behind the roof of town hall and flies onto the stage in a grand performance; complete with flying up towards the moon and shooting out balls of energy from his hands that explode in a fireworks-esque display.

Unfortunately, it later turns out that those bright lights attracted a huge pack of timberwolves. Since he was assisting Twilight with helping Princess Luna, he decides to use this situation as a way of accomplishing their shared goal by getting Luna to help him with defending Ponyville. Essentially, he's going to turn this unfortunate event into a way of getting the ponies to see Luna as a hero.

Currently in the episode that my chapter is based on, Isamu and Luna intercepted the pack in the park before they could get into the main part of Ponyville and are now tag teaming the horde of wooden beasts with impressive styles of fighting and a few joint attacks.

That could definitely work.  There's a distinct amount of buffer space created by Sweet Apple Acres on the other side of the river from Ponyville (thereby giving time to see/hear the timberwolves before they hit town), and there's a 75-90% chance that they'd travel through the park on their way towards Town Hall depending on the episode you get your details from (The park is somewhat amorphous).
